UpperHills is truly one of the best places in Shenzhen for taking photos. It’s not only fun to explore, but every floor is thoughtfully designed with unique visual elements. Today, I’ll take you on a walk through UpperHills and share some of the best photo‑worthy spots.
🌞 Outer Street — Half‑Open Space with European Vibes
The Outer Street area is semi‑open, offering plenty of sunlight while still incorporating indoor‑style décor. Most of the shops here lean toward European and light‑luxury aesthetics, including several European‑style afternoon tea cafés and upscale restaurants.
One of the most eye‑catching spots is the storefront of Onioni, decorated with hydrangeas that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a garden. There’s even a wishing fountain outside, making it an incredibly photogenic location.

🛍️ 3rd Floor — Tech Stores and Galeries Lafayette
The third floor focuses mainly on tech products, including a large Sundan electronics store. You’ll also find Galeries Lafayette, offering a curated selection of imported goods — beautifully designed and truly impressive.

👟 2nd Floor — Sports and Lifestyle Brands
The second floor features many sports and lifestyle shops such as FILA, Skechers, DJI, and more. It’s a great area for browsing athletic wear and tech gadgets.

📷 1st Floor — The Best Photo Spots in the Mall
This floor has the highest number of photo‑friendly installations. There’s a large, adorable display filled with childlike charm — a giraffe playing guitar on a hillside, a group of penguins drumming and singing, and musical notes hanging in the sky. Kids will absolutely love it.
The corridors on both sides are also specially decorated. One side resembles a European street scene with bar stools for resting, while the other features floral decorations and park‑style benches — both perfect for taking photos.

🛒 B1 Floor — Food, Snacks, Gifts, and Toys
The basement level is mainly for food, including McDonald’s, Hunan cuisine, and the Ole supermarket. There are also three very popular gift shops — Tomato Pocket, Miniso, and Miscellaneous Society — plus the Puffang toy store. It’s a great place for browsing and shopping; it’s almost impossible to leave empty‑handed.

📚Overall Experience
UpperHills offers an excellent combination of shopping, dining, and photography. Whether you love taking photos, exploring new shops, or bringing kids out for a fun day (eat, play, and explore all in one place), this is definitely a top choice in Shenzhen.
