Want a cozy afternoon coffee break with a little reading time? ☕️We actually stumbled upon this place while passing by on a winter afternoon, when the sunlight was warm and gentle, the perfect weather for a cup of coffee to warm up and recharge.
What surprised us was that this wasn’t just a café. It also has a small book area where you can sit down, enjoy your drink, and browse the books around you. It feels more like a cozy café with a reading space than a traditional bookstore, as there isn’t really a large selection of books for sale.
At first glance, the space almost feels like a small art museum, which made us even more curious to explore it.
📍 Practical Information
Name of the Shop: Puunana (薄雾·红树书吧·林间阅享)
Location: 深圳市福田区福强路3012号(深圳市妇幼保健院正门附近);No. 3012 Fuqiang Road, Futian District, Shenzhen — near the main entrance of Shenzhen Maternity & Child Healthcare Hospital
Nearest Metro Station: Yitian Station, Exit C — approximately 300 meters on foot
Price: ¥40 per person
Opening Hours: 8:00–2:00 AM

🌲 Environment
The café is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing plenty of warm natural light to fill the space. Bookshelves sit in the center, with more than ten tables arranged around them for dining, reading, or simply relaxing.
Colorful art illustrations, standing lamps, and wooden details give the interior a soft and artistic character. The gentle background music also makes the whole space feel particularly peaceful.
But my favorite detail was something much simpler: the shadows of the trees outside falling across the room in the afternoon sunlight. As the branches moved with the breeze, the shadows gently shifted across the floor and walls, creating a beautiful and almost cinematic atmosphere.

📖 Experience
We ordered a cappuccino ☕️, and the latte art was beautifully done. The lake-green ceramic cup was also a lovely touch, adding a subtle sense of style to the presentation. The coffee tasted just as good as it looked. The milk flavor was rich and creamy, while the coffee itself was smooth.
Besides coffee and drinks, the café also serves meals 🍚. However, most of the dishes are priced around ¥30–40, which I think is relatively expensive for what is essentially a casual café.

📚 Overall Experience
Overall, I really enjoyed discovering this little café by chance. The combination of warm afternoon sunlight, greenery, books, artwork, and soft music creates a sincerely relaxing atmosphere.
It’s a nice place for an afternoon coffee break, a casual catch-up with friends, reading, or even getting some work done. I also noticed that people visiting the nearby hospital would stop by for lunch, which makes sense given its convenient location.
However, I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip here just to check it off your Shenzhen itinerary. There are plenty of cafés and bookstores in Shenzhen that are more worth traveling for. But if you happen to be in the area, especially if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to enjoy a cup of coffee, this little hidden café is definitely worth a look.
