We’re so used to Zara selling fashion, but when I found out they opened a home store, I couldn’t help feeling a little excited. I was pleasantly surprised to see Zara Home right across from their main shop in UpperHills Shenzhen. At first glance, I thought anything produced by Zara must be premium. The storefront looks elegant and spacious, so I felt compelled to step inside.

🕑 Opening Hours: 10:00–22:00
🪭 Store Concept
This Zara Home seems to focus mainly on textiles and home fragrances.
A large portion of the displays feature bedding and towels.
Many tables are filled with diffusers, bowls, and dishes.
There’s even a section showcasing children’s pajamas.

💰 Pricing & Experience
Prices are on the higher side:
Towels cost around 60 RMB
Pillowcases range from 400–500 RMB
However, given the texture, I don't think the quality quite matches the price.
Unfortunately, the display area wasn’t well arranged. In the last section, the carpet felt slippery and uneven, with raised lumps that made us nearly trip (as you can see from the picture below). The seating area also wasn’t very comfortable, especially the texture of the mattress felt not so comfortable, which affected the overall experience.

📚 Overall Impression
I expected Zara Home to compete with brands like IKEA or Nitori, but it hasn’t yet developed a distinctive identity. While the store looks refined, the product presentation and overall comfort leave much to be desired. The way the merchandise is arranged doesn’t inspire a desire to buy, and I believe Zara could take some inspiration from Muji’s approach. Still, if you’re curious, it’s worth stepping inside for a look.
