Bao Shifu has just launched a new product, perfectly catching the springtime matcha trend: the Matcha Floss Pastry. Luckily, there was no line today, so I grabbed a box to try right away. ❤️
📍 Location: 1F, Nantang Commercial Plaza, Yongxin Street, Dongmen
🕐 Opening Hours: Daily 10:00–23:00
Name of the shop: Bao Shi Fu (鲍师傅)

🥮 Taste Experience
A box costs 15 RMB and includes four pieces (though the ad shows perfectly round pastries, the actual shapes vary 😅and looks kind of ugly).
The entire pastry is green, coated with pork floss. Biting into it reveals distinct layers: sponge cake – matcha cream – sponge cake.

The flavor is a mix of salty and sweet, with a hint of matcha bitterness. It’s not particularly unique, and honestly, one person can handle at most two pieces before it feels too heavy.

📚 Overall Impression
The taste is decent and worth trying once for novelty, but not something you’d go out of your way to buy again.
However, this spot is actually well‑known for its signature pork floss pastry, and it’s definitely worth stopping by to try the classic.
