To be honest, after living in Liantang for so many years, I had never found a really good steakhouse here. Whenever we wanted to have a proper steak, we would usually have to go into downtown Shenzhen.
But finally, we have one! Liantang finally has a proper steakhouse! 🎉
Ming Tien Charcoal Steakhouse serves Western-style steaks 🥩, fresh salads 🥗, and a variety of other dishes. The quality here was impressive, especially considering that it’s right in Liantang.

The restaurant has a modern and cozy interior, with plenty of seating. It feels suitable for different occasions, whether you’re having a family meal with children or meeting up with a few friends.
👩🍳 Service
The service was also pretty good, and the staff were generally proactive and attentive.
There was one slightly confusing moment when our food was being served. The dish was clearly ours, but another staff member came over and repeatedly said it wasn’t, then took the dish away. We were left a little confused about what had just happened.
🍴 Food Experience
Tender Steak 🥩: Highly recommended — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled with balanced seasoning.
Golden Pork Chop & Snowflake Beef Combo 🐷💖: The beef is exceptionally tender, while the pork chop, coated in crispy batter, is golden and crunchy outside yet tender inside.
Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Wings & Beef 🍛: This was my favorite dish! It comes with a generous amount of cheese, tender chicken wings and beef, and a delicious, rich black pepper sauce. The sauce is especially good when mixed with the rice, making the whole dish incredibly satisfying.
Chicken Salad 🥗: The salad had a nice variety of textures and tasted fresh, although the chicken itself was fairly average.
👶 There’s also a kid’s meal with a big bowl of pasta, fries 🍟, and chicken, making this place child‑friendly and good for family outings.
The side dishes also include sweet potato fries 🍠. They were just average to me, and I actually prefer the sweet potato fries I had at Fun Fun.
📚 Overall Impression
The food was genuinely delicious 👍, and I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in Liantang and craving a steak.
The environment is cozy, the service is attentive, and the décor creates a pleasant dining atmosphere. For someone living in Liantang, it’s especially nice to finally have a place nearby where you can enjoy a proper steak without having to go all the way into downtown Shenzhen.
