Luohu’s MixC is definitely one of those places where you can always find beautiful shops and restaurants, and this time I finally got the chance to try one of its light-luxury cake shops. 🍰
The first impression? Absolutely gorgeous. The moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into spring. The cakes were colorful and delicate, and the whole space had a distinctly Rococo-inspired feel. The cakes have lots of romantic details, elegant colors, and a very “girly” atmosphere.
But of course, pretty cakes are one thing. The real question is: do they actually taste as good as they look?

🌳 Environment
The moment you see the storefront, you can tell it represents a refined, light‑luxury style. Red is the main color, accented with gold.
The display window is probably the biggest visual attraction. The cakes are carefully decorated with bright colors, delicate toppings, and plenty of small details. They almost look more like little pieces of artwork than everyday cakes.
If you’re someone who enjoys taking photos of desserts, this is definitely the kind of place that will keep your camera busy. 📸

💁 Service
The staff members are professional, friendly, and very attentive.Since the weather was warm, they even added two ice packs to the bag to keep the cakes cool.👍
🌰Another thing I really appreciated is that the menu clearly indicates potential allergens in the cakes. If you have food allergies or are sensitive to certain ingredients, you can ask the staff to show you the allergen information before ordering. This is something I rarely see clearly indicated in restaurants and dessert shops in Shenzhen.
🍰 Taste & Experience
👍Honestly, the cakes are delicious. Just a little tip: if you’re visiting on a hot day, try to enjoy them soon after buying them. The heat can affect the texture and make them less enjoyable.

🏆 Highly recommended: Blueberry Cocoa Chiffon
The cake is topped with around ten plump blueberries, this adds a contrast to the cocoa chiffon.
What I liked most was the balance between the different layers. The cake itself was soft and airy, while the cocoa flavor gave it a deeper, slightly bittersweet note. The blueberries helped keep the whole thing from becoming too heavy or overly sweet.
This was easily my favorite of the two, and I can see why it’s one of their signature cakes.

🔸 Chocolate & Strawberry Crème Brûlée Chiffon
The cake is topped with a fresh strawberry 🍓, with chocolate mousse underneath and a fruit-filling layer.Compared with the blueberry cocoa cake, this one has a more pronounced chocolate flavor and a slightly bitter finish. I think it would appeal more to people who prefer darker, less-sweet chocolate desserts.
Personally, I preferred the blueberry cocoa chiffon, but this one is still worth trying if you’re a serious chocolate lover.

📚 Overall Experience
Given that this is positioned as a light-luxury cake brand, I can understand the price point. For a casual afternoon treat, it may feel a little expensive, but for a birthday, a gift, or when you simply want something pretty and special, I can see the appeal.
