😇 After five long years of construction, Dongmen Metro Station has finally opened, and it looks amazing!
As someone who has watched the station being built from the ground up over the past five years, I’m honestly so excited to finally see it completed. It’s pretty amazing to see how much the area has changed from the construction site I used to pass by to this brand-new metro station! ❤️

📸If you're visiting Dongmen for the first time, I’d recommend using Exit M. It gives you a more scenic introduction to the area, while the station’s underground connections make it easy to continue exploring without having to walk outside.
From here, you can also get a great view of some of the iconic landmarks in the area, including Diwang Tower, Zhaoxin Huijin Tower, and other skyscrapers around Dongmen.

💻Upgraded Facilities
The entire station has been equipped with a range of upgraded facilities. You’ll find a brand-new large-scale fresh-air ventilation system 🌬️, facial-recognition turnstiles ⚙️, and even small service robots that can provide navigation assistance.

🚇 Why This Station Is Useful for Visitors
For visitors exploring Shenzhen, the new station makes Dongmen much easier to reach from different parts of the city. Since Lines 1, 3, and 5 are connected here, the station provides convenient access to the Dongmen area without requiring visitors to make unnecessary transfers or walk long distances above ground.
The station is also directly connected to Zhaoxin Huijin Plaza, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and shops. King Glory Plaza and Dongmen Pedestrian Street are both within about a five-minute walk. If you're planning to visit Dongmen Pedestrian Street, King Glory Plaza, or the surrounding shopping areas, this station is now one of the most convenient starting points.
If you have around 1–2 hours, I’d suggest starting at Exit M and taking some photos around the station before heading toward Dongmen Pedestrian Street. From there, you can explore the surrounding shopping streets and malls, or stop by Zhaoxin Huijin Plaza for food and a break.
I especially recommend visiting on a sunny day or in the evening. The combination of the modern architecture, open spaces, and surrounding skyscrapers makes the area particularly beautiful, and it’s a great spot for taking photos. 📸✨
