🤩If you’re looking for a fun place to unwind on the weekend in Dongmen, Hacker E-game is definitely one of the go-to entertainment spots in the area. It feels like one of Dongmen’s main hubs for entertainment, especially if you enjoy arcade games and lively activities.
The place is suitable for people of all ages. There’s also a surprisingly wide variety of games and activities, so it’s easy to find something you enjoy.
What makes the atmosphere even more interesting is how many people actually come here to play. The sounds of the games constantly fill the arcade, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. You can also watch some really fun dance-machine performances, as well as spontaneous rhythm-game competitions where people challenge each other. Even if you’re not playing yourself, it can be surprisingly entertaining just to stand around and watch.

The arcade itself is part of a larger entertainment building. Hacker E-game occupies two full floors, while the third and fourth floors have DIY craft rooms and pet-interaction spaces, and there is a cinema on the fifth floor.
On weekends, you can see all kinds of people coming here to have fun — couples, families, and parents with children. I even saw family members challenging each other at different games, which was honestly quite fun to watch.

Signature Dance Machines 💃 — The dance machines are one of the most eye-catching attractions here. You can see people showing off all kinds of dance moves, and some of them are genuinely impressive. Rhythm Reaction Games — These are perfect for testing your reflexes. I noticed that quite a few people even wear white gloves while playing, practicing with such speed and precision that they look almost like professionals.

The location is also very convenient, as it’s close to major shopping malls such as King Glory Plaza, Maoye, and 1234 Mall. You could easily combine a visit here with shopping, dining, and other activities in Dongmen for a full day out.
However, there is one thing I think the venue really needs to improve. The second floor of the arcade is directly connected to restaurants, including a large hotpot restaurant. Unfortunately, the smell of hotpot drifts directly into the arcade, creating a rather unpleasant smell throughout the area. This was probably the biggest downside of my visit.
Other than that, I think it’s a fun place to check out if you’re exploring Dongmen and want to experience a lively side of Shenzhen’s everyday entertainment. 💕
