🇫🇷French Restaurant in Shenzhen Sungang: Authentic Paris‑Style Dining in the City

Never thought there could be a charming French restaurant in Shenzhen, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Time for another Shenzhen food review. (Shout out to the organizer who offered me 200 RMB coupon!!)

The restaurant, named Je'taime, sits inside a large commercial plaza, Yongtongchang Central Plaza. It is so convenient because afteing enjoying a meal, you can stroll around the area. The night view is bright and beautiful, perfect for an evening outing.

🌸 Environment & Ambience

The atmosphere is truly romantic, almost feel like stepping into a corner of Paris. The space is divided into a dining area and a bar area. I noticed that the bar has a mirror installed on the wall, which makes the space feel more spacious. In fact, the restaurant has a double-height ceiling, so it’s no surprise that the place feels different the moment you walk in

I really love the window‑side bar seats, and the interior is decorated with lanterns, fabric accents, and greenery. The overall vibe feels like a peaceful Parisian suburb, relaxed and inviting.

🤝 Service Quality

Both the servers and hosts were friendly, attentive, and professional.They offered recommendations(however, the server came by twice to ask if I needed suggestions. I had already told her that I would call her when I was ready to order, so it made me feel a little uncomfortable), checked in on the dishes, and even greeted us warmly when we left.

🍽️ Food Experience

Overall, the dishes has a strong flavor of pepper, while some items were more lightly seasoned. Still, the presentation and preparation showed care and refinement.

🏆 Highly Recommended: Grilled Black Tiger Prawns with Fettuccine

• Pasta went so well with the rich and flavorful sauce. The staff told us they add their home-made tomato sauce inside, that's why it tastes so good.

• The prawns were grilled through, slightly dry in texture. (I expected a cheese topping for a sweet‑savory balance, but this one did not have it. 😔)

✔️ French IGP Beef Stew (Red Wine Stew)

• Prepared using only red wine (I believe that’s a traditional French way of stewing? By the way, I was worried that I might get dizzy because I drove here)

• The beef was tender and easy to bite, but slightly firm in texture

• Noticeable herb aroma, with potatoes and carrots absorbing the broth.

• Overall balanced, but my husband enjoyed it.

• Strong truffle aroma

• Rice grains separated nicely

• Includes mushrooms and small beef cubes for added texture

• Light seasoning with a strong pepper note, but still enjoyable

📚 Overall Impression

The experience was delightful, with beautiful ambience, thoughtfully prepared dishes. Definately a great spot for friends or couples to take photos and enjoy a relaxing meal

The restaurant stays open until late(2 am in the morning), so it is very suitable for night dining. The bar area features an elegant wine display, adding to the upscale feel of the space. There are karaoke spots and other entertainment options nearby, so if you want to have an extended time for your night life, this place can be a good choice.
