Bagualing Rooftop BBQ Restaurant: Night View, Atmosphere & Two‑Person Set Review

Having been working here for two years, I can’t believe there’s such an atmospheric barbecue spot hidden in Bagualing!

🌲Environment

The restaurant occupies almost the entire rooftop of the building, offering a wide, open view. You can even enjoy the city nightscape. The shop owner is smart enough to turn the whole place into different areas. Besides the many outdoor barbecue tables, they also set up a bar, so you can enjoy both grilled food and drinks.

We went there in winter, so it was a bit cold dining on the rooftop. The staff set up tents and a plastic door to keep the space warm for us.

I could easily imagine this place being packed during company gatherings or weekend nights with friends.

🍛Food

We tried the two‑person set 👥, even though there were three of us, the portion is big enough for us to share.

The meats included beef, pork, chicken wings and squid sausage. They were pre-marinated for better flavour, and all looked very fresh. The chicken wings were super juicy, and the marinade had a slightly sweet Cantonese-style flavor.

For the vegetables, they offer chilled cucumber and Yunnan potatoes. The potatoes are delicious, more fragrant and flavorful than regular ones we bought in the supermarket.

🏆 A must‑try is the golden mini buns. Grill them and dip them in condensed milk. It is so delicious. 😋

🥤 The lemon tea included in the set is refreshing and helps cut through the richness. The condiments include kelp strips, kimchi, garlic chili sauce, chili powder, and more 🧂

📚Overall Review

I have to say, the experience was excellent. The three of us had a really enjoyable night, and our friend was so happy that we brought her to such a great place. There are also a flower market, plenty of bars and coffee shops nearby, therefor, this area is a perfect spot to hang out at night.
