FunFun Restaurant in Shenzhen Xiasha: Cozy Boho Dining With Must‑Try Signature Dishes

Cheryl Kong | 2026-08-23

Unlike Hong Kong, where restaurants tucked away inside office buildings are fairly common, Shenzhen doesn’t have quite as many. If I hadn’t come across this restaurant online, I probably would never have known it existed. Luckily, the food turned out to be surprisingly good, and the open-air terrace felt almost like a little garden in the sky, a peaceful place to escape from the busy city and unwind after work.

📍 Practical Information

Name of the Shop:Fun YouFan Garden Party Restaurant (FunFun有饭花园聚会餐厅)

Location: 深圳市福田区泰然八路云松大厦10层10B室;Room 10B, 10th Floor, Yunsong Building, Taian 8th Road, Futian District, Shenzhen

Nearest Metro Station: 下沙站D口步行160米;Xiasha Station, Exit D — about 160 meters on foot

Price: ¥80 per person

Opening Hours: 9:30–21:00

🛋️ Environment

The décor is clearly designed with care.🌲

The outdoor seating is surrounded by greenery and decorated in a cozy Bohemian style. It overlooks the street and has a lovely open-air feel, although the view is partly obstructed by the potted plants along the railing.

💕 Indoors, the vibe shifts to a European vintage aesthetic, filled with cute action figurines, framed artwork, and vibrant colors.

🍽️ Food

We ordered the Two‑Person Set Menu, and every dish exceeded expectations. Even my partner said everything tasted great. 👍

🏆 Pineapple German Sausage Cheese Crisp Pizza

This one definately worths a shout-out!!!

The German sausage adds a rich, savory depth that elevates the entire flavor. The pineapple and cherry tomatoes bring a sweet balance 🍍, perfectly complementing the meatiness. You can just imagine the richness of flavors when putting the pizza in your mouth 👍.

🏆 Meizhou Salt‑Baked Chicken Salad 🥗

Meizhou salt-baked chicken is a well-known Hakka dish. The chicken is especially tender and usually hand-shredded into thin pieces. It has a delicious balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, which makes it particularly appetizing.

I’d never tried salt-baked chicken served in a salad before, but the combination works surprisingly well❗️(I mean, whoever thought of this is a genius!)The tender, hand-shredded chicken is paired with fresh cucumber, mixed greens, and shredded carrots, creating a nice contrast of textures. The vegetables are crisp and refreshing, while the savory-sweet chicken adds plenty of flavor, making the whole saladsatisfying.

🏆 Sour Plum Powder‑Seasoned Sweet Potato Fries

🍠These sweet potato fries are best enjoyed after cooling slightly. They arrived quite hot, so I’d recommend letting them sit for a few minutes before taking a bite. Once they cool down a little, you can really appreciate the texture: crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, with the sweet potato cooked just right.

What makes them particularly interesting is the use of sour plum powder. Seasoning sweet potato fries with this powder is a popular local-style way of enjoying them(not sure if it is popolar in the rest of the world). The sour flavors of the powder balances well with the natural sweetness of the sweet potato. The combination is seriously addictive. I originally thought it would be a simple side dish, but I kept reaching for another piece without even realizing it.

☕ Drinks: Hot Americano & Fig Sparkling Water

The hot Americano was decent. It was smooth, fragrant, and not overly bitter. I especially enjoyed having it warm, making it a nice choice for a relaxing afternoon.

The fig sparkling water was a little disappointing. The main issue was that the fig syrup didn’t blend well with the sparkling water. Instead, it tended to settle rather than properly mixing into the drink, so the flavor felt uneven — some sips were noticeably sweet, while others tasted almost like plain sparkling water. You could easily fell a little bit frustrated when you had to constantly stir the drink.😮‍💨

💁 Service

The waiter was very attentive throughout our visit. He reminded us several times to be careful when the dishes arrived because they were served very hot.

📚 Overall Experience

I highly recommend this place! Every dish was a hit! Nothing disappointed(apart from the drinks), and the quality was impressive. Perfect for friends, couples, or even company afternoon‑tea gatherings. A wonderful spot to enjoy delicious food and a beautiful spring atmosphere.

And here’s a little bonus: there’s a gym right next door! 😏 So if you’re feeling guilty about the extra slice of pizza, you can always head over for a workout afterwards. 😂

🧑‍⚖️Final verdict:

Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (minus half a star for the drinks)

Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Value ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐½
