Today I was taken to try a fast‑food place that only true Shenzhen locals seem to know about — and to my surprise, the food was actually quite good.

Name of the shop: Ri Yue Yong He(日月永和)

🌳 Old‑Style Décor but Clean and Comfortable

The moment I walked in, I could tell this was a long‑established restaurant. The décor is old‑fashioned, but everything is clean, tidy, and well maintained. The bright windows let in plenty of natural light, and outside, if it is spring yime, you can even see a tree full of purple‑red blossoms, making the atmosphere peaceful and pleasant.

🥟 Signature Soup Dumplings

I ordered their signature soup dumplings. They were juicy, with thin wrappers and plenty of flavorful meat inside. You can eat several without feeling overwhelmed.

🍛 Classic Rice Plate with Perfect Wok Hei

I also tried their rice plate, which came with dry‑fried green beans and braised beef brisket with tofu. The wok hei was strong, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced.

📚Overall Review

Their desserts are said to be excellent as well, but I was too full to try them this time — which gives me the perfect excuse to come back again.

For a restaurant that has been around for decades, the prices are incredibly friendly. A meal for two here costs only around sixty to seventy yuan, and everything is clean, hygienic, and comforting. No wonder so many people keep coming back.
