This is a newly opened milk tea and dessert shop in King Glory Plaza, Luohu. Interestingly, when the shop was still under renovation, its name was already displayed as Cha of Yulian (裕莲茶楼).
Since “茶楼” in Guangdong usually refers to a traditional Cantonese restaurant where people go for dim sum and morning tea, I originally thought this was going to be a place for Cantonese morning tea.
But I was completely wrong. It’s actually a dessert shop specializing in drinks, ice cream, and bakery!
The shop has been open for several months and has been attracting long queues, so I never had the chance to try it until today. I’d heard that both the drinks and ice cream were quite popular, so I finally came specifically to try their signature ice cream.

🍦 Signature Dessert — Black Sesame Ice Cream
I ordered their signature Black Sesame Ice Cream. Unfortunately, the Cheese Buckwheat flavor was sold out, which was actually the one I wanted to try.
💁 The portion is quite generous. It costs ¥14, and the staff even pressed the ice cream down firmly into the bowl, making the serving look extra substantial. I couldn’t help feeling that this little gesture was also a clever marketing trick. It makes you feel like you’re getting a really good deal.
However, the texture wasn’t as creamy as I expected. It was slightly icy, almost like a slush.
The flavor was mild and not overly sweet, but honestly, I didn’t find it particularly impressive. About halfway through, it also started melting quite quickly, which made it a little less enjoyable to eat.
📚 Overall Experience
The ice cream was just okay for me. It’s worth trying if you happen to be in King Glory Plaza and are curious about the shop, but based on this flavor, I wouldn’t make a special trip just for it.
I’m still curious about the other flavors, especially the Cheese Buckwheat, since that was the one I originally wanted to try. Maybe I’ll give it another chance next time.
