FunFun Restaurant in Shenzhen Xiasha: Cozy Boho Dining With Must‑Try Signature Dishes

Unlike Hong Kong, where restaurants tucked away inside office buildings are fairly common, Shenzhen doesn’t have quite as many. If I hadn’t come across this restaurant online, I probably would never have known it existed. Luckily, the food turned out to be surprisingly good, and the open-air terrace felt almost like a little garden in the sky, a peaceful place to escape from the busy city and unwind after work.

Why Guimanlong in Shenzhen Is Always Packed: Big Portions, Good Prices and Crowd‑Favorite Dishes

Cheryl Kong | 2026-08-22

Guimanlong has become incredibly popular lately. I’ve visited several of their branches, and almost every time the restaurant is packed with customers. Today, I finally had the chance to sit down with friends and experience it for myself!

💰 To be fair, the value for money is excellent. A set meal costs just over 200 RMB, and the portions are surprisingly generous for four people.

📍 Location: 5th Floor, Vanke Plaza, Bantian

Name of the Shop: Guimanlong 桂满陇

🪴 Environment

Guimanlong’s interior design is highly recognizable. The entire space is filled with lush greenery, showcasing a classic Lingnan aesthetic 👒.
It’s visually soothing, comfortable, and spacious—perfect for gatherings with friends or family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧.

🍲 Food Experience

We were a group of four and ordered a double set meal, plus a few extra dishes—but we couldn’t finish everything 🤣.
(Since it’s been a while, I’ve forgotten some of the dish names.)

🏆 Three‑Delicacy Pot(三鲜锅)

When you dine at a Chinese restaurant and see the word Sanxian (三鲜) on the menu, it usually means the dish will include a mix of several ingredients. This one was packed with pork skin, fresh shrimp, egg dumplings, clams, meatballs, and vegetables. The broth was sweet and refreshing, cutting through any heaviness, and everyone finished it very quickly for the tastiness.

🏆 Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings

Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. The salted egg yolk coating on the skin was delicious. The dish also came with plum‑powder fries—sweet, tangy, and very enjoyable 👍.

🍗 Roast Chicken

It was juicy and piping hot, with meat that was wonderfully tender. The staff even helped tear it apart, making it easier to enjoy.

🦐 Tea‑Leaf Shrimp

The shrimp heads were filled with rich roe, which is my favorite part. Because they were simmered with tea leaves, the shrimp carried a subtle, fragrant tea aroma that made the dish a must‑try.

🐟 Jiang White Fish

For me, it was a bit of a pity—there were too many bones. The fish itself was fresh and flavorful, but we still couldn’t finish the dish. That’s one of the downsides of set meals: they often include a few items you may not particularly enjoy.

🥬 Okra & a Bowl of Lai Fun (I think)

Both were quite standard. We were already too full, so the lai fun remained basically untouched 🤣.

📚 Overall Impression

Guimanlong is truly one of the best value‑for‑money restaurants in Shenzhen. The dishes are consistently good, and we haven’t encountered anything disappointing. We even brought our family here again, and everyone loved it.Personally, I think it’s absolutely worth recommending 💕
